One sunny morning, Lily noticed a beautiful pink flower growing beside a big rock.
“Oh, what a lovely flower!” she said happily.
She decided to give it to her friend Hazel, a little squirrel who had been feeling sad.

Just as Lily was about to pick the flower, a strong wind began to blow.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
The flower bent towards the ground, and its delicate petals started to shake.
“Oh, no! My beautiful flower!” Lily cried.
Lily carefully placed a few small sticks around the flower to help protect it from the wind. Then she waited patiently until the breeze became gentle again.
The flower stood tall once more!

Lily carried the flower carefully to Hazel's little home.
“Hello, Hazel! I brought you something special,” Lily said with a smile.
Hazel opened the door. Her eyes sparkled when she saw the beautiful pink flower.
“For me? Thank you, Lily!” Hazel exclaimed.
“I thought it might make you smile,” Lily replied.
Hazel gave Lily a big hug.
“You have made my day so much brighter!”
Lily felt happy too. She discovered that making someone else smile could fill her own heart with joy.
From that day on, Lily and Hazel helped each other whenever they could. Their friendship grew stronger, just like the little pink flower in the meadow.
And the flower became a sweet reminder that kindness can make the world more beautiful.
