 📖 Let's Read the Story!

Once upon a time, in a beautiful forest, there lived a little squirrel named Sammy. He had a fluffy tail and bright, curious eyes.

Sammy loved collecting acorns. Every morning, he ran around the forest, searching for the biggest and tastiest ones.

One sunny day, Sammy found a huge pile of golden acorns beneath an old oak tree.

“Wow! These are all mine!” he squeaked happily.

He filled his little basket until it was almost overflowing.

Soon, his friend Bella the Bunny came hopping along.

“Hello, Sammy! I haven't found any food today. Could you please share a few acorns with me?” she asked.

Sammy hugged his basket.

“No, Bella! I need every single acorn for myself,” he replied.

Bella lowered her ears and hopped away sadly.

A little later, a tiny bluebird named Pip arrived.

“Sammy, may I have one acorn for my family?” Pip asked politely.

“Not even one!” Sammy said.

Pip flew away quietly.

That afternoon, dark clouds covered the sky. A strong wind shook the trees, and Sammy's basket tipped over. Acorns rolled everywhere!

Sammy tried to collect them, but some fell into the bushes and others rolled down a little hill.

“Oh dear! I cannot collect them all alone!” he cried.

Bella heard him and hurried over. Pip came fluttering down, too.

“Don't worry, Sammy. We will help you!” said Bella.

Together, they gathered every acorn they could find.

Sammy looked at his kind friends and felt ashamed.

“I am sorry I didn't share my food with you,” he said. “You helped me even when I was unkind.”

Bella smiled. “Friends help one another!”

Sammy placed some acorns in Bella's basket and gave a few to Pip for his family.

Then they sat beneath the oak tree and enjoyed their little feast together.

Sammy discovered that day that sharing made his food taste even sweeter!
