Once upon a time, in a beautiful green forest, there lived a little brown bear named Benny.
Benny loved exploring the forest. Every morning, he walked past tall trees, colourful flowers, and sparkling streams, hoping to discover something wonderful.
One sunny morning, Benny noticed something shiny beneath a big oak tree.
“What could that be?” he wondered.
He brushed away the dry leaves and discovered a tiny golden box!
“Oh, wow! A treasure box!” Benny exclaimed.
He carefully opened it. Inside were beautiful beads, sparkling stones, and a little silver bell.
Benny was excited. He imagined keeping the treasure in his cosy home and showing it to everyone.
But then he noticed a small name tag attached to the box. It read, “Belongs to Oliver the Rabbit.”
“Oh dear,” Benny said. “Someone must have lost this treasure!”
Benny wanted to keep the beautiful things, but he knew they belonged to someone else.
So he picked up the box and began searching for Oliver.
He asked Polly the Parrot, “Have you seen Oliver?”
Polly flapped her wings. “I saw him near the river this morning!”
Benny hurried to the river. There, he found Oliver sitting sadly beside a bush.
“What happened, Oliver?” Benny asked gently.
“I lost my little treasure box,” Oliver replied. “It belonged to my grandmother, and it means so much to me.”
Benny smiled and held out the golden box.
“Is this yours?”
Oliver's eyes lit up with happiness.
“My treasure! You found it!”
He hugged Benny warmly. “Thank you for bringing it back. You could have kept it, but you chose to be honest.”
Benny felt warm and happy inside. He realized that doing the right thing felt even better than finding treasure.
To thank Benny, Oliver invited him to share a delicious picnic of carrots, berries, and honey cakes.
Soon, their forest friends joined them, and everyone enjoyed a wonderful afternoon together.
From that day on, Benny became known as the most honest bear in the forest.
